lol did you even see how valve prepared for this tournament? this tournament is a boss, only a few companies would dedicate so much for the sake of the players and the community. the venue, the accommodation and how players are treated just shows how great valve is. did they stick to being greedy knowing that they earned so much money from this? no. maybe you are really an 8 year old kid which you claimed to be (i saw you post that). it's not perfect, but it's one of the best tourneys that we can get.

Listen, i pay for a product and then i expect value to be delivered, and i expect the product to be working. I have had troubles watching almost all of the games now except for 1, and that is not satisfactory.
If they gave me 30 million bucks i could make the most epic tournament, with just 1 mill $ i could make something 10x better than this garbage. Something that is working perhaps.

Obviously kids don't understand what a hassle tournament of this size is. Apart from setting up the venue (Preparing players computers, cellphones, paying for their accommodation, making sure everything works), Valve also has a whole bunch of new players still incoming, which means stress on both servers and algorithms that run the whole synchronization/matchmaking thing. With sudden increase in players, sometimes its hard to predict how they working time of algorithm will behave. There is also a lot of small things, they have to dedicate more time to this so people involved can't work as hard on what they were working on.
The only thing that I think Valve did that was "greedy" is release the game before TI3. It is really hard to handle release of big online game as it is (see simcity 4 and diablo 3), making a tourney right this time means EVERYONE is watching, so extra stress on servers.

^ I think the release before the Ti3 is just a marketing plan to increase and encourage more players to play dota and also let new players have a taste of what the pro scene of dota is like. But I have to agree that it is a bit greedy

Yes, but I bet you haven't read my post because if you had ud see what I wrote- It's hard alone to handle release of a game, making tournament making that stress even greater. Obviously you shouldn't expect 100% working everything when they do move like this. They work really hard, but it is still extremely hard to handle everything in such small amount of time.
Valve sux but Internationals are the only thing they try to do right. Lets flame retard d2's devs but not for something they do correct. Almost d2 got 500k online so it was obviously it will have some probs (valve not ready for the dota population its 20 times bigger(mb more) than their most popular game they had before dota2)

Delayed games, games with high ping, twitch overloaded, Dota2 servers overloaded, a game crashed, a few games havent been streamed like they should, a few games couldnt load from compendium, a few games havent been watched from compendium Tobiwans mic not working along with ayesee, in the standings it says its 2-0 for Na'vi? As far as i know they lost 2-0. They said Zenith played Na'vi, as far as i know Zenith have not been playing Na'vi yet, not been able to bet via dota2lounge god servers overloaded. Terrible so far, and we're only a few hours in...
