DOTA STATS are well... bizzard in General Discussion
MrSim

When a player disconnects, and it displays it's safe to quit, the game is counted as a defeat whereas the win is not counted when an opposite/teamate player quits.
    It's totally broken.
    Several times I noticed that

    MrSim

      Examples : http://dotabuff.com/matches/160118631
Everyone quits : it's counted as defeat

      http://dotabuff.com/matches/159667549

one player quits --> others quits --> defeat

      BUT this game : 159814175
one player quits (IN OUR TEAM !!) we win, not counted

That makes no sense. Don't pretend doing stats if you don't know how to manage them :P

it happens sometimes, i got 3 more loses and 1 more win

in one of the links, all of the radiant team left, and the dire team didnt, so dota destroyed the radiant ancient, sadly dotabuff counted it as a lose for everyone of the radiant team..

Safe to leave has NOTHING to do with counting the game.
          There are two messages:
"XYZ has abandoned the game, it's now safe to leave" -> the game IS counted, but you wont get an abandon for leaving
"XYZ has abandoned the game, it's now safe to leave, no stats recorded" -> the game is NOT counted, only happens with an early abandon (leave befor minute 10 and no first blood).

On that note, I think the in game message is genuinely glitched. I recently got a "no stats recorded" message after several deaths had taken place. Naturally, I found it strange so I stuck around, we won, and the win was registered on both Dotabuff and in the client as well.

Ok, one more good reason to secure the first kill then
