I never even cared about DBR. Back in my HoN days, a lot of 1800 players were carried to that rating by their friends, and vice versa - I had seen 1400-1500 brown/oj players completely dominate higher ranking players. It's a useless, inaccurate feature people try to use to say who's good and who isn't.

I use Dotabuff for replays and tracking my actual hero statistics. Couldn't care less about some stupid "silver" or "gold" ranking.

So every profile has to be public for DBR to work? Stupid. You can see everything you need on the people who have public profiles, so unless you are doing this in a stupid way, DBR is still valid.

didn't needed it for long just wanted to make sure im among top players in the world got that confirmed now dbr can get removed :D

Fumler, certainly, the DBR number meant absolutely nothing was it not compared to everybody else's number, without all the information it becomes an arbitrary number that serves no purpose whatsoever

I don't understand what the attachment here is. DBR is inherently based off of DOTA2's matchmaking system, it doesn't influence that system at all, so all it does is give you a measurement of that system, for me anyway, is a fine system. (If you think that matchmaking is broken, then why the attachment to a number based off a "broken" system) VALVe (Gabe actually) has gone on verbal record that they have ratings and they plan on implementing them in the future, you know, cause its still BETA. However, they are not yet pleased with the results of the rating system and will release it before the game is done, but when the ratings are accurate in a way they like.

So I'm not really seeing what you're all worried about? And if you think matchmaking is shit, muster up the courage to find 4 friends to play with. You guys do have 4 friends, right?

Well I was a Platinum and wanted to try for Diamond, I guess that I will just have to believe that I won enough to get that Diamond lol.

The problem is, when i party up with my friends, the enemy is so weak that it's not even funny
I see it as a waste of time to play for 30mins when my team is stomping without any difficulties because enemy team is not in sync like me and friends are..
So, yes MM is broken.
