maybe your performance in-games were not good for ur respective level... But still, wins should result in better dbr, in my oppinion
Winning games has nothing to do with it,
"CALCULATION FACTORS
The only factors considered in determining the change in your rating is match outcome and skill difference between players. Other factors such as player KDA are not considered. We feel very strongly that including KDA (or other in-game statistics) would lead to a system that encourages individual play (instead of teamwork), is difficult or impossible to balance, is subject to exploiting and would lead player ratings to drift away from the in-game matchmaking."
"match outcome" is exactly winning or losing a game, then the change in DBR is proportional to difference in skill level between the two teams, right?
I think your DBR is relative to other, as a rank. People can go over you in rating, making in the sametime loosing you rank. No ?
^where do u take that from? it clearly saiys it measures outcome, not ingame perfomance. ure just saying the opposite of whats written down.
PhObiA you are wrong, learn to read what you post.
"The only factors considered in determining the change in your rating is match outcome and skill difference between players."
"match outcome and skill difference between players"
your individual performance doesn't matter at all.
You could literally farm forest all match and still gain DBR if your team wins.
Now, when it comes to OP, I presume the system is probably delayed and you missed something.
from what they told us about the method used to calculate DBR the only things that matter are winning/losing and respective skill levels. however small the increase may be (even 0) you shouldn't lose rating from winning. However it's possible that new players completed their ranking matches and got a higher score, moving the distribution upward and subsequently making you lose rating.
Why do you think winning = +rating and losing = -rating? That's a dumb assumption to make in a team game.
Let's just say K/D was part of the rating calculation. You could go 0-10 against players much more skilled than you and still win because your allies carried you. Do you think that should increase your rating because you still won? No. Play better relative to your opponents (and your allies possibly) and that's how you get a better rating.
I think winning = + rating because that's what Dotabuff said in their post. I didn't invent anything, they explicitly told us that KDA ratio was not a factor in the calculations.
the idea behind that is that youre less likely to win with for instance 0:10 in every game, resulting in more losses against opponents wich couldve been beaten by lets say more team contribution etc.
I just got +5 rating since I last checked, and I haven't even played a game since then.
It's likely that as other people's rankings go up or down, yours does too. In my case, maybe someone above me went down a notch, so I subsequently moved up.
@rambosalad KDA isn't counted. Yes, if you win a game where you go 0-10, you'll still get a better rating. Didn't you read what Dotabuff said? "The only factors considered in determining the change in your rating is match outcome and skill difference between players."
The thing about playing with friends, is that one of your friends might be silver-gold and another one might be platinum-diamond... So MM matches you with some average team, in that case the platinum-diamond would be playing against lower players, loosing DBR points (even if they win)...
P.D: Sorry for my English, I do what I can ^^
^i doubt that's the case.
More likely, the platinum-diamond player will gain less points for winning a match than his silver-gold friend. No way he loses points.
I don´t think you lose games when you are playin in divisions that are lower than your own rating, I am in Diamond and I play quite a lot with friends who are lower rated, so whenevery I play with them I am in a lower bracket than Diamond but it didn´t make me lose DBR this far.

So I won a few games in a row now, and both me and my friends LOST rating. Shouldn't wins give higher ratings, not lower?
