Just play better than enemy team. When I was 3.9 and wanted to aim for 4k, I had much easier time compared to 6 months ago. If you deserve 4k you'll get it eventually. Just keep playing.
Going woods is bad, and picking sec. carry or contestign mid is also bad. Play for the team but try to go with impactful role if possible.
Some very generic answers, pick heroes that transition well into late game. Utilize your items to its Max potential. Re-watch your games, Analize common mistakes and attempt to correct them. Set up smoke ganks, don't just farm passively. Finally, keep your head and team composure cool.
As I said, if you're 4k you'll get 4k sooner or later. If you're not ready for 4k keep practicing. it's easy as tht.
There is no advice, just try your best, of course there's advice for going from 3.0 to 4.0, but 3.9 to 4.0, no, it's all up to you. Don't tilt, just play your best till the end of every match to increase the chance of come backs, even when you know you might lose, just play, and focus on the next match. When you're winning, fucking end it while you have the power, just telling you now.
