Just watched the movie "Your Name". Would highly recommend. Also everything else by Makoto Shinkai.

I posted this in another anime thread here a few months ago before it got locked. I'll just copy and paste it here again.
Puella Magi Madoka Magica
Although seemingly a standard magical girl show, I really enjoyed the twists, surprises, and overall change in tone thrown at you throughout the show. I really suggest anybody watch at least the first 3 episodes before making judgement on it. I've even seen people who don't normally watch anime enjoy it. One season so far, there are also 3 movies, but the first 2 are just recaps of the show, while the third movie is something completely new. Highly recommend.
Girls und Panzer
The story takes place in a universe where all the high schools are girls only, and all high schools are located on giant aircraft carriers. Tank battles using old WW2 tanks is seen as an extra curricular activity and a way for girls to attract a good husband. The story mostly revolves an underdog school competing against other schools in these tank battles. The shows only 1 cour long, but there's also a movie I highly recommend, and there's some upcoming OVAs that are coming out soon.
Symphogear
Sort of a cross between mecha anime, idol anime, and magical girl anime. Young girls get these robot armor that are powered by them singing and allows them to fight these monsters called Noise. There are 4 seasons with the 4th one currently airing.
Is the Order a Rabbit?
Just a cute slice of life show about 5 different girls working at cafes and hanging out. Also one of the girls grandfather passed away and is now a talking rabbit that only his granddaughter and son acknowledges, but that's not really important. There are currently 2 seasons.
Non Non Biyori
Another slice of life about 4 girls, this time they all live in a remote rural village. The village is so small that all the elementary and middle school students attend a single class in a single school with only 5 students. There are currently 2 seasons so far.
Love Lab
An underrated little anime from a few years back. 5 girls in the student council from an elite private middle school secretly form a club to research and study romance and dating techniques while helping other students with their relationships. The show is pretty short with 1 season.

Food wars is in there cuz it's funny as sht. The presentation sometimes is retarded I guess all Asians care about is fake tits and ass, instead of jokes but there's enough jokes in there to make it worth it.
