General Discussiontips for beginner arc warden player?

If you're new to this game forget trying to learn the higher skill cap heroes. Instead play braindead heroes PA/Jugg/Slark like I do and enjoy your wins before you go on to learning shit like Meepo/Arc. Get the basics down before you proceed

But wouldnt it speed up my growth if I mastered a high skill cap hero? The only problems I get with arc are mechanical skills such as micromanagement. Game sense however is quite decent I believe for someone at 3.6-3.8k according to how I observed others. Actually I have played alot of meepo games before and did quite well as long as I didnt get countered. I got used to micro-ing meepo faster than arc warden to be honest. The main cause for my low winrate is my inconsistency since I play alot of heroes because I get bored fast and I dont play seriously during normal or party ranked matches. I was thinking maybe if I focused on one hero I could improve so I can be worthy enough to cross the 4k line (highest i have been was 3999 since volvo gave me 24 mmr) after that i have been dropping mmr since Ive been underperforming lately.

What do you think should I do to git gud?

rofl who cares after 15-20 games u get the general idea of how to press buttons on any hero and from there it only gets easier because enemies have no idea what ur hero does and what to do against them because they only play against them once in 100 years when some1 randoms them

when i was 2k i could just walk up to any hero as kunkka and kill them because no one dodged tide, no one kept their distance to not get x'd, no one bought eul's/bm and no one could dodge properly(9/10 qops blinked away when they were x'd), all it took me is to know combos and execute them and it didnt matter that i was terrible at farming, game sense and whatnot

aws difficulty is incredibly overestimated theres not much to this hero

i gotten the hang of the mechanical stuff in 4 games hes a very interesting hero to play, gotta work on efficient farming patterns and good item decisions

if you think you're gonna spam this hero to get mmr then spam another hero, you're not getting much out of him

arc requires hundreds of games to be player properly

why not just spam meepo instead. he's actually good hero to spam in 4k

there's no way an OD is that BAD at 7k

he literally watched you farm for 10 minutes, didn't even spam astral to push nor to trap you

no

playing arc warden properly requires you to be a 9/10 at almost everything relative to your skill level

which means u first have to perfectly master the basics first before you touch this hero

for example just like in fighting games, you play this high skill cap character and u practice his omg-so-hard-to-do-combo in practice lobbies for 10 hours, but in a real game u never get to pull it off and then you just lose because you have little concept of the basics

thats why playing easier heroes are almost always better, you get to have the luxury of thinking more about the game instead of ur hero

thats also the reason heroes like sk/nyx/cent are much more picked in pro games than say, brew or some shit

also brew is kinda underpowered rn so yeah

Because its full of people with life problems and can't deal with them and starts to spam the forum to feel good about themselves and also their 1000 mmr and double down users. If I were you I would move to "DOTADEV" that's where admins of the game and high mmr players with out of this world skills answer all your gaming questions in dota 2. You better leave now and close this site or everyone who is active in this forum will start to give you wrong answers and the other random 1000 mmrs playing with bots will go crazy and starts to spam randomely and trust me your gonna like them very much. http://dev.dota2.com/

No one dares to spam or flame there if they want to get instant 2 weeks ban and if they do it again 1 month and again 3 months and then again then they have no choice but to perma-ban them. but you need to unlock a privilage to post to prevent spammers like that person named Jack and that person who thinks he/she is an animal Dog. and those people moved here so they can spam here.

I also recommend the "Dota 2 Animo App" and chat with 3000-8000 mmr players if both of the following forums are not helpful and the community there are nice people.
